Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Derrick Zechmair (born in 1962) has been Group President of Valeo in Germany, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, since 1 July 2016. He studied mechanical engineering and his first job was with a medium-sized company, where in 1995 he was appointed Head of R&D for airbag control units in the USA.

 

Four years later, he became Vice President of Marketing and Sales for active and passive safety systems. In 2012, he moved to Valeo in France where he headed a department in the powertrain business unit and was responsible for results worldwide.
